RNA Polymerases In Eukaryotes

RNA Polymerases In Eukaryotes

The nuclei of eukaryotic cells possess there distinct RNA polymerases.

  • RNA Polymerases  I : Is responsible for the synthesis of precursor for the large ribosomal RNAs.
  • RNA polymerase  ii : Synthesizes the precursors for mRNA and small nuclear RNAs.

Besides the there RNA polymerases found in the nucleus , there also exists a mitochordial RNA polymerases in eukaryotes. The latter resembles prokary RNA polymerases in structure an function.
